Character Creation Rules
[/i][/u][/center]- Character Limits -
A character is only limited by your creativity, or how godmoddish an ability is. Your character can be almost anything in the world of Final Fantasy. There are many classes to choose from, many species, and you can even multi-class to gain benefits from two or three classes at once. However, this is not what I meant by character limits. By this, I meant the amount of characters you can have. I am limiting it to ten, as I am a lazy man(not really) and the profiles would stack up if tons of people started making tons of characters. Also, the limit on Canon Characters you can have is a small amount of 2, as I don't want somebody to have a bunch of characters while another person has none but wants another one that said person has.
- Levels and Ability Points -
Before I explain how to get levels and points, I should first explain what they are on this forum. The level constitutes your strength, and when you finish threads, you will receive experience. Based on the amount of experience you get, you may or may not get a level. Now, what this all depends on is how well you RPed and how creative you were in the execution of your thread. The amount of experience you need to level up will be three times your level. So if you're level 5, you will need 15 experience. Six, eighteen, and so on. So, by this point you're probably thinking "That's not so hard". But, I assure you, it's not very easy. The maximum you can get for one post is five experience points, and that's for a well written, plot progressing post. Upon being approved as a character, you will receive a level based on how well down the profile is. Unless you wish to start off at level 1, it will vary depending on how well written and how original your character is(unless you're applying for a canon). Canons will also be handled this way.
Now, to explain ability points. Every two levels (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, etc), you will receive 1 Ability Point. With this point, you can purchase the next skill in the skill tree of your class, or you can use it to switch classes. You can build up your points as well, though it's probably best to just progress with your skills as much as possible. After all, you can always go back if there's another branch you wish to go down.
- Character Classes -
A character is limited to three classes to be multi-classed. However, it should be known that it takes one of your AP(Ability points) to make a class change, if you didn't read the above, please read it again. The class determines what skills and abilities your character posesses, and often times a person chooses a class dependent on the weapon that their character may wield. Dragoon's use lances, Soldiers often use swords, and mages of any kind normally don a staff. However, aside from the basic classes, there are also advanced classes that can only be achieved at a certain level, or when certain conditions are met. These classes are much stronger than those of the former and allow the user to wield greater power. Choose wisely and utilize your classes to their highest calibur.
- Plagiarism -
It was bound to be confronted sooner or later, so why not in the character creation rules? This forum does not, under any condition, condone plagiarism. We expect any and all profiles to be written from the person's own knowledge of the universe. That means, for canons, no wiki entries or copying from another person's profile from another site. We WILL be Googling the profiles to be sure they aren't copied. However, if they are copied and you can prove that the original profile was of your own making, it is completely fine. Proof would be me creating an account on the site, and you PMing me to show that it is you. There might be other ways if you can convince me.
