A Staffers Word is Law
When making a request to fulfill your battle lust, a staffer is called in to bring out some beasties for you to fight. Now, this is treated just like a regular fight, no godmodding, saying that you actually hit the enemy. The staffer that is currently doing your battle will dock you points and it will probably gain you ill-favor. Though, the person who is in charge of your battle will be able to say whether or not the enemy hits you, after all, it's a random encounter. We can't just have you dodging around and getting missed everytime(that's definitely not how it was in the games). The staff are supposed to be fair and allow you to hit, while at the same time making it a difficult experience for the player. This is the point of the encounters in the first place, for you to experience a challenge at the hands of a higher power.
Actions and You
Each character participating is allowed two actions of some kind. Whether it be to attack and then defend yourself, or attack and defend another. However, the enemy also gets these, so choose your actions wisely and try to think of the best way to inflict damage to your opponent and win the battle.
Encounters with Another Person
When you're fighting with another RPer, be fair. Don't dodge every hit but don't take every hit either. In the end, there has to be a winner unless someone decides to run away. If the staff thinks that a fight is taking too long, we will intervene. If there are any problems with a fight, please inform a staff member and we will take a look at your thread.
The Collectors
The collectors come along after you defeat a monster of some kind and collect valuable parts for various uses. For defeating the monsters, you will receive gil. This gil can be used to upgrade weapons, buy more AP, or to get on a boat or airship to get to one of the other "worlds". Sometimes, if the monster was especially difficult and/or rare, the collectors may give you rare items as well.
